Anger as a primitive emotion

Primary emotions may be fear, frustration, jealousy, or stress.  The idea is we feel these emotions and we lack the capacity to properly cope with them. As a result of our reduced coping ability we find ourselves over stimulated. This over stimulation is expressed as anger.

Once we transition to anger we are a step away from the primary emotion and we have lost some of our ability to be rational. This is where the greatest concern is found. When we abandon the rational and give in to the emotional we are on turbulent ground. The emotional allows the primitive parts of the brain to control and the behaviors are driven by our primitive impulses.
